Facility Supervisor Job Summary:

The Facility Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the facility by overseeing personnel, equipment, and assets, including sub-contract vendors. This position requires overseeing the big-picture view while also paying attention to detail, as all aspects impact the maintenance of the physical premises and the safety of individuals conducting business there.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of the facility to ensure safe and appropriate activities.
  • Manage opening, closing, and securing of facilities, addressing safety and maintenance concerns.
  • Educate and guide facility users on proper usage.
  • Enforce and comply with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure product safety during storage and material handling.
  • Maintain facility records to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory agencies.
  • Supervise and schedule the work of craft workers/vendors such as HVAC repair workers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and painters.
  • Keep records of materials used and order/purchase new materials.
  • Supervise emergency repair jobs, inspect field work, and plan maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Prepare and administer the division’s budget, monitoring expenses.
  • Administer security and janitorial contracts, ensuring quality and timeliness.
  • Analyze and investigate maintenance and personnel issues, providing written reports with solutions and recommendations.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree/OND/HND in mechanical or civil engineering or management.
  • 2-5 years of experience in facility supervision, building construction, maintenance, or repair work.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels.
  • Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities.
  • Organizational and planning skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook.
  • Proven facilities management experience.
